Cooper Launches New STT with Armor-Tek3 E-mail

Cooper STTCooper Tires has launched the new Cooper STT, revealing the Armor-Tek3 ply carcass construction that's unique to Cooper.

Cooper has taken its outstanding two ply STT and added a third ply but not just a normal third ply.

In a normal 4WD tyre there are rubber gaps between the sidewall cords. The rubber gaps are the weakest point of the tyre. A nail, a stake or sharp outback grass can push against the sidewall cord, deflect off and penetrate through the weakest point (the rubber) and you get a flat.

The heavy duty carcass of the new Cooper STT, constructed of two radial polyester plies and one angled (at 8 degrees) polyester body ply, is now 33% stronger in the sidewalls and 2½ times more resistant to tearing.

This new innovative carcass construction is called Armor-Tek3 technology and it's unique to Cooper.
