The most common causes are a partially blocked radiator or malfunctioning thermostat, but there's several other possibilities as well.

The only way to determine the exact cause is by checking over your vehicle and running a few tests.  Here's just some of the things we would look at:

  • Check the radiator coolant
  • Check that the water pump is working
  • Check that the thermostat is working correctly
  • If applicable, check that the thermofans are operating correctly
